We offer a salary of up to £40k p/a, dependant on experience.

As a DevOps Engineer, you will be integral to ensuring the smooth operation and efficiency of our systems. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and maintain automated processes that enable continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) of software updates and new services.
You'll write clean and secure code using platforms like MuleSoft, collaborating with various teams to enhance infrastructure and automation. Your role will also involve identifying opportunities for automation, improving system performance, and ensuring robust backups for our systems and data.
In this role, you will support multiple IT teams and participate in an on-call rota for major technical incidents. You’ll need to stay current with industry trends and best practices, sharing your knowledge within the team. Effective communication skills are essential as you'll manage relationships with stakeholders and vendors, translating technical concepts into actionable steps.
About the Candidate
We are looking for someone who is passionate about IT and app development who can work in a small DevOps team to build and develop robust automated processes that align with Fenwick's infrastructure strategy. They will have a continuous improvement mindset and be comfortable in being the point of escalation for complex IT issues.
- Proficiency in DevOps practices, CI/CD processes, and Azure Cloud/MuleSoft development platforms.
- Microsoft/MuleSoft Developer Certification or equivalent credentials.
- Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.
- Good understanding of network infrastructure, system/application architecture.
- Knowledge of Python/YAML is advantageous.
- Ability to work under pressure with effective prioritisation and time management skills.
- Demonstrated ability developing applications either freelance or within a business.
- Ability to translate technical concepts into actionable development steps.
- Passion for ongoing learning and staying updated with industry trends and best practices.
- Collaborative mindset to work effectively with cross-functional teams and share knowledge.
- Willingness to participate in an on-call rota for major technical incidents.
