About the role
As a BI Developer at Fenwick you’ll be at the forefront of delivering robust data and Business Intelligence solutions. You’ll work across the business to design cohesive data models, build efficient ETL pipelines, and ensure strong governance for accuracy, performance, and security.
Working closely with colleagues in Finance, Digital, Marketing, Buying & Merchandising, Retail, and Logistics, you’ll design and develop data solutions that drive insight and decision-making. This includes building new databases, data structures, and views, while collaborating with third-party partners to integrate external data sources. Operating within a DataOps framework, you’ll ensure continuous development, testing, and improvement.
We’re looking for someone with hands-on BI development experience, strong SQL and data warehousing skills, and a solid understanding of cloud-based data platforms, ideally Microsoft Azure and Snowflake. Experience with dashboard tools like Qlik, Tableau, or Power BI is an advantage, as is exposure to data science, AI, and Microsoft Dynamics 365.
What we are looking for in a candidate…
Experience of hands-on Business intelligence development
Experience of building and maintaining data warehouses and data models
Knowledge of data lakes
Microsoft BI technologies: MS Excel, SQL, SSIS, SSRS, Azure, Data Factory, Data Lake
Experience of working with data in cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure or Snowflake.
Experience of building dashboards (e.g. Qlik, Tableau, Power-BI). Specific BI tool training will be provided.
Analytical minded with a problem-solving aptitude
Forward thinking vision and the ability to pay close attention to detail
Ability to translate business needs to technical specifications
