About the role
As Section Manager, you will be an integral part of the team and vital for its success; our warehouse has several teams working across the areas of Inbound, Outbound, eCommerce, Furniture, Support and Cross Dock. The role will look after one of those sections as their primary role and will be expected to run across several shifts working around the clock during peak trading. The role will be expected to have a degree of flexibility with shift working including shift rotation.
You will lead and motivate Team Leaders and Colleagues across your areas and the wider site, driving engagement and in turn, increasing productivity and accuracy whilst developing the team for the future. You will also act as operational lead with our buying and merchandising teams. A key focus of the role will be colleague engagement, training, productivity and throughput achievement ensuring what we send to our stores is accurate & timely, whilst ensuring SLA’s and targets are achieved, providing strong leadership, and coaching to the wider team.
Please note that this role will involve shift work which includes weekends.

- A successful track record as a manager in a fashion multi-channel warehouse (fashion is desirable but not essential)
- Proven financial and commercial acumen having had budgetary control of a substantial logistics operation
- Effective communication, influencing and relationship skills
- Strong understanding of detailed application of logistics and warehouse technologies (WMS & scanning)
- A passion for continuous improvement, ideally having exposure to working in warehousing and transport.
- A process-driven approach
- Ability to operate in a fast-changing environment and maintain operational disciplines during periods of significant corporate change
- Strong people manager, builds and maintains high levels of team engagement in an operational environment
- Holds customer service at their heart and ensures that customer service is not compromised
- Operational knowledge of H & S
