Are you an experienced Electrician looking to bring your expertise to our flagship store in Newcastle? We're seeking a talented individual to join our Maintenance team and contribute to the smooth operation of our dynamic retail environment.
About the Opportunity
As part of our store Maintenance team, your primary responsibility will be to ensure our spaces are presented to the highest standard across all departments. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of our electrical systems, providing comprehensive coverage during store opening hours to keep our facilities running optimally.
You'll collaborate closely with fellow electricians to cover the store at all times, conducting regular planned maintenance work and addressing reactive issues promptly to minimise disruptions to store operations. Additionally, you'll take ownership of small-scale projects aimed at improving and enhancing our store infrastructure, contributing to an exceptional shopping experience for our customers.
As part of our commitment to safety, you'll maintain regular health and safety checks and records, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. Effective communication will be key as you keep our Maintenance Manager informed of maintenance progress and collaborate with external partners, including contractors and utility operatives, to address maintenance needs promptly and efficiently.

As well as these key characteristics, you will bring:
Demonstrated experience (3 years+) and expertise in electrical systems maintenance and repair, with a strong understanding of electrical principles and regulations.
18th Edition qualification.
Ability to proactively identify and address electrical issues, both planned and reactive.
Innate attention to detail and strict adherence to health and safety with the ability to conduct regular safety checks and adhere to protocols and regulations.
Strong communication skills to liaise with team members, external partners, and stakeholders, keeping them informed of maintenance progress and addressing concerns promptly.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment, providing support and guidance to colleagues, and contributing to the overall success of the Maintenance team.
